Jamie, a CRI Missionary, and her team visited the village of Thondwe, where CRI serves women and children.
During home visits, she met Maria: an elderly widow who can’t walk. She had recently been robbed and lost nearly everything—including her Bible.
But Maria’s joy was not stolen.
Jamie and her team sat with her. They listened to her story. They prayed with Maria and reminded her she was not forgotten.
This is the missionary calling. To enter homes, villages, churches, and hard places with the love of Christ. To teach Bible studies, encourage widows, care for children, visit the suffering, and to keep showing up.
