Widow Care

For the past 15 years, I have worked with CRI to lead our Project Life program. Our vision is to care for the HIV+ widows in our community who have little to no family and no one to help them navigate the challenges and stress of being sick and living off just a few dollars a day. Widows like Mariana.

Project Life has faithfully provided her with compassion, friendship, and aid since 2006. Why have we helped her for so long? We continue to help because Christ’s command to help the widow, orphan, and refugee within our reach knows no time limit. We are committed to supporting Mariana and others as long as they need us and we have the means to do so. In 2006, Mariana was one of 46 HIV+ widows in our care. Today, CRI supports nearly 400.
